Description

FORTEZA non-sensitive element (NON-SE)

Non-sensitive elements (NON-SE) are designed for:

  • connecting the TRIBO-S (or TRIBO-U) signal processing unit to a sensitive element;

  • passing through gates or buildings along the fence line.

Purpose

The non-sensitive element is part of the TRIBO-S (and TRIBO-U underground system) fence protection system, which does not react to deformation or vibration.
It is used to transmit signals between the TRIBO-S (or TRIBO-U) device and the sensitive element, or to connect two SE-86 sensitive elements using connection sleeves.

General information

  • The maximum length of the non-sensitive element in one TRIBO-S input channel is 300 meters (up to 500 meters for the TRIBO-U system).

  • The sequence SE-86 → NON-SE → SE-86 can be used in the system according to installation needs.

  • The insulation of the non-sensitive element is not weatherproof; therefore, it must be protected with a plastic conduit (corrugated pipe) when installed on a fence or underground.

Installing the non-sensitive element

If the TRIBO-S system needs to provide alarms for different detection zone lengths, the detection zone length can be set between 1–300 meters.

Example:
If the requirement is for the system to provide an alarm for a 50-meter detection zone (2 rows of sensitive elements, which is standard for a 2-meter high fence), the zones are connected according to this requirement.

This installation is also suitable for situations where the TRIBO-S system is integrated with a CCTV (video surveillance) system, so that each 50-meter zone triggers a separate alarm.

Using the non-sensitive element for passing through gates and buildings

If there are gates or buildings within the detection zone, a connection sleeve and a non-sensitive element are used to create non-detecting sections (i.e., zones that do not trigger an alarm).

Installation example:

  1. Connect the SE-86 sensitive element to the NON-SE cable using a connection sleeve.

  2. Install the NON-SE element in a protective conduit and pass it under the gate driveway or building.

  3. After the passage, reconnect the NON-SE to the SE-86 cable using a connection sleeve.

  4. Maintain the same detection zone before and after the gate.

For gate protection, it is recommended to use FMC 10 (50) or FMC 24 Pro (50) devices.
