Flame detector FL45-1-1-0-0, 1x UV and 1x IR sensor
The FL45 flame detectors are suitable for electronic fire detection systems where response speed is of primary importance.
They are capable of detecting the presence of a flame (target flame – see technical data below) up to 25m away, are
easy to install, and are particularly reliable.
These detectors are particularly useful in locations where a fire is expected to develop rapidly, such as warehouses
storing petroleum products, paints, plastics, alcohols, etc.
The operating principle of these detectors is the detection of the infrared components of the flame.
Indeed, a flame emits a very wide spectrum of radiation ranging from the ultraviolet UV field to the infrared IR. The
detection of the infrared components is a clear indication of the presence of a flame.
The detector can be equipped with 1 UV sensor and up to 3 IR sensors.
Of course the more sensors are present in the detector the more precise is the detection as each sensor covers a different waveband.
The UV and IR sensors, through an appropriate viewing window, ‘observe’ the monitored area. When a flame started due to the start of a fire is visible within this area, the UV and IR radiation emitted by the flame itself is promptly detected by the sensor, which, through associated electronics, will trigger an output relay to send the alarm signal.
The onboard electronics are equipped with special algorithms to provide the detector with high immunity to false alarms.
The detector is equipped with 4 indipendent levels of sensitivity adjustment for the UV and IR channels to allow perfect adaptation to environmental conditions.
This allows the detector to be precisely adjusted according to the environmental conditions.
The detectors can be supplied in different models with options available.
